Narcotics Control Bureau regularly organizes online and offline events such as drug disposal, International day against drug abuse, International meetings, drives on digital solutions to monitor problems of drug trafficking, drives for arrest of absconders etc.

8th Apex Level NCORD Meeting.

The 8th Apex Level NCORD Meeting, held on 15.05.2025 under the chairmanship of the Union Home Secretary at North Block, New Delhi, reviewed the current status of narcotic drug trafficking and compliance with directions from the 7th meeting. Key agenda items included directives from the Hon’ble Home Minister on awareness regarding synthetic drugs, review of precursors and clandestine labs, gaps in district-level NCORD meetings and NDPS case registration, strengthening of the NCORD mechanism, effective use of hotspot mapping data, and policy decisions on crime severity and incentives.
