Acting on specific intelligence, officers of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Chennai, intercepted two female passengers at Chennai International Airport on 13.11.2025 and recovered 28.080 kilograms of high-grade Hydroponic Ganja (Weed) from their check-in baggage. The seized contraband has an estimated street value of ₹10 crore in India.
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Chandigarh has secured the conviction of a drug peddler in the 2021 heroin seizure from the Indo–Pakistan border area. In a significant judgment reinforcing the crackdown on cross-border drug smuggling, a Special NDPS Court, Fazilka has convicted Gurpreet Singh @ Mangal, resident of Village Kotha, District Fazilka on 07.11.2025 and sentenced him to 12 years rigorous imprisonment with a fine of ₹1.5 lakh under various sections of the NDPS Act, 1985.
The programme forms part of the framework of the MoU signed between CBSE and NCB on 3rd September 2025, aimed at strengthening preventive education and sensitizing school students about the dangers of drug abuse.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and the Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Home Affairs signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in the areas of research, training, technology development, and capacity building related to narcotics control and cyber-enabled drug crimes. The MoU was signed by Shri Anurag Garg, IPS, Director General, NCB, and Prof. (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel, Vice Chancellor, RRU at a function in New Delhi

In one of the biggest hauls in recent times, Narcotics Control Bureau Delhi Zone seized 50 Kg High Quality Heroin, 47 Kg suspected narcotics, 30 lacs drug money in cash, cash counting machines and other incriminating material from a residential premises in Jamia Nagar, Shaheen Bagh on 27.04.22 on a tip off. The contraband was stored in travel bags, bag packs and jute sac. The seized Heroin originated from Afghanistan and the drug money suspected to be channelled through Hawala. The seized Heroin was packed in packings of flipkart. One Indian National has been arrested in the case.
